Archaeological & Environmental Services
Alasdair Mackenzie Stonemasonry Ltd now has an archaeological and environmental recording and documentation team.
Led by our Field Director, Rachael Cameron, we ensure that every project is handled with care, accuracy and attention to detail.
Our Services:
Archaeological and Environmental Documentation:
Our talented illustrators garner details to create clear and precise visual representations of site findings, adhering to industry standards and illustrative conventions.
Archaeological Advice: We draw on insights from former illustrators at Wessex and Test Valley Archaeological Committee to provide well-informed advice on illustrative conventions and archaeological practices - alongside ensuring new training opportunities.
Environmental Documentation: We create environmental reports and visual documentation that capture the essence of a project or area.
Collaborating with stonemasonry experience where work may be required.
Our work is enriched by training in Natural History Illustration and our expertise in this field.
Benefits of Choosing Us?
Our services can be useful for community consultation, ensuring transparency in archaeological findings, maintaining accountability and a history of conservation and restoration work conducted.
We blend our expertise in archaeology, illustration, and photography to support the preservation of historical and environmental sites.
Our documentation can then be used to help other professionals assess and aid in viability studies, site appraisals, and site surveys.
Our visuals showcase transparent records that help discuss the scope of work needed or undertaken in a project.
We are committed not just to accuracy and professionalism in documenting historical buildings, ecological sites and discoveries but also to collaboration.
We’re always open to working with other teams, professionals, research groups, and local authorities, valuing their input and improving project outcomes together.
